SOUTH COAST DISTRICT TAKES MIDGET NOREASTER TOWN CUP TITLE

The team that represented the South Coast mowed over the competition going 5-0.
The first opponents they took on were the North Attleboro region and quickly disposed of them 14-0.
The next on the slate was a team that represented the Walpole Norwood area and defeated them 9-3.
Next on tap for the preliminary round was the South Shore entry which they defeated by the score of 7-3.
With the 3-0 record they advanced to the semifinal round South coast would take on the North Attleboro entry
and would defeat them by the score of 9-0 and that would advanced them to the title game.
The championship game featured South Coast taking on the Taunton region which was basically
Div 2 HS powerhouse Coyle Cassidy and defeated them by the score of 10-0.

The members of the championship team were Garrett Allen, Ryan Alves, Sam Jenkins of Dartmouth, Alex Travers,
Jason Sylvia of Acushnet, Mark Mello of Assonet, Connor Mathews, Bobby Carroll, Glen Souza
and Ryan Nestor of Fall River, Peter Mendonca, Benny Brouillard, CJ Cordeiro, and Emilio Botelho of Somerset
and Kurtis Garcia of Wareham. The coaching staff consisted of Tony DeSilva, Ken Cordeiro and Kris Metea.

Several members of the South Coast team made the All tournament team Brouillard, Alves, Botelho and Souza.
Cordeiro was named Tournament MVP.
