MASS MAPLE LEAFS MAKE ANOTHER
PLAYOFF APPEARANCE

The Mass Maple Leafs are making their 12th appearance in the playoffs in 13 years.
The Leafs have made 3 years of Empire League playoffs and winning the championship twice,
1 year of the Interstate Junior Hockey Leagues playoffs and 8 years of making CHA playoffs
including winning 3 Junior B championships and 2 Junior C championships.

The Leafs just recently completed an 8-0 run of the Western Conference including
a 4-3 win over league leading Metro Moose. The Leafs defeated everyone in the conference
they played with the exception of Apple Core who they didn’t face with the unbalanced schedule.

The Leafs have 3 players in the league top 25 in scoring with Benny Brouillard with 58 points,
Jared Mitrano with 57 points and Colin Cordeiro with 46 points. The Leafs have 4 defensemen
in top 25 including Rob Berg leading all defensemen with 38 points, Emilio Botelho with 23 points,
Kyle Gasior with 20 points and PJ Burnham with 18 points.


The Leafs are currently 3rd in the very tough Eastern Conference behind Bay State Breakers
and Boston Junior Bruins. The Leafs have 3 games remaining including 1 with the Breakers.
The season series is 1-1-1 with the winner of the game taking 3rd overall place.
The Leafs are 28-5-2 in league play and overall have a 43-28-8 record.

The Leafs have 7 players that have over 50 points overall. The Leafs are led by Brouillard
with 97 points followed by Mitrano with 93 points, Patrick Avery with 84 points, Cordeiro
with 79 points, Ryan Merz with 70 points, Andrew Mathieu with 63 points and Berg with 52 points.

The Leafs are looking to make their 6th consecutive appearance at Nationals but have
a very tough ahead of them when the CHA playoffs begin in Philadelphia Mar 11-13th.

The Leafs will have some exciting news not only for college commitments
but their plans for the 2011-12 season. It will all be appearing on their website
over the next month or so. The Leafs plan on having a couple of camps as well
as entering some very large tournaments this upcoming Spring and Summer.
