MASS MAPLE LEAFS JOIN IJHL SUPER ELITES

The Mass Maple Leafs Junior Hockey Club has joined the International Junior Hockey League
for the 2010-2011 season. The Leafs team in the IJHL will be coached by longtime
and former Leafs player Kris Metea.

The Leafs will ice two full season teams one that will skate in the IJHL and 1 that continues to skate
in the CHA (Continental Hockey Association). The Leafs are also going to try to have a split season high school
development team as well.

“The benefit of icing a team in the IJHL is the proximity of the league its ideal for the player
that is looking to focus on their academics and not spend a lot of time on the road and in
but yet still get the Junior experience and exposure.” stated Maple Leafs owner Tony DeSilva.

“We will be using the 2 summer showcases Cyclones tournament and the EJ showcase to fill out
both the IJ and CHA rosters.” We still have openings for those tournament teams as well as open roster spots
for forwards and defenseman for both the IJ and CHA teams for the 2010-11 season.”
