Mass Maple Leafs Mission Statement
“Mass Maple Leafs: A Commitment to Excellence”
The Mass Maple Leafs Junior Hockey Club was established in 1997 with one objective in mind;
to provide a quality, competitive, and supportive environment for young hockey players to
achieve their personal goals.
The Maple Leaf staff emphasizes hard work, dedication, and personal sacrifice to achieve the
program’s highest goals and to develop the character necessary for players to be successful
on and off of the ice. Through the collaboration of both the coaching staff and the Leaf players
an ultimate demonstration of teamwork is exhibited.
The 12 year Maple Leaf tradition has seen many players use the program set forth by the
administration to achieve their hockey goals, whether it is advancing to Junior A programs,
varsity college programs, or college club programs. The Maple Leafs compete against other
Junior, Prep, and College Club programs in a variety of showcases and non-league games
throughout the season in addition to their league schedule in the Continental Hockey
Association.
Mired in a winning tradition, the Mass Maple Leafs Junior Hockey Club has missed its league
playoffs only once in its 12 year existence. During this time, Leafs players have earned
several tournament, regular-season, playoff, and national championships. Through its winning
ways the Maple Leafs have garnered respect nationally from fellow counterparts, and as a
result, have developed working relations and affiliations with the Minnesota Ice Hawks of the
Minnesota Junior Hockey League, the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey
League, and the Buffalo Stars of the Empire Junior Hockey League. These commitments and
affiliations have helped pave the way for Leafs Players to advance their hockey careers.
Through the stressing of personal responsibility and accountability, the Maple Leafs programs
provide the knowledge and tools that players can take advantage of to improve foremost as a
person, and secondly as a hockey player. The Leafs understand and emphasize that only the
player and his dedication and efforts will lead him to his ultimate success.
The Maple Leaf program is proud of its team and player accomplishments throughout its 12
year existence and continues to strive for and pursue excellence in every facet as an
organization for its players and potential future members of the program.
